<ul> <li> <p>Job Summary</p> </li><li> <p>In a physician practice setting the Clinical Assistant ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. The Clinical Assistant works alongside the Providers performing daily duties which include, but are not limited to: Participates in "morning huddle", direct patient care, procedures and entering data into the EMR. Responds to all messages in the EMR and/or voicemail within a timely manner. Handles prescriptions for the Providers as needed. Manages the order entry and referral process; merges results and consult notes to ensure orders are satisfied. Routinely performs injections and venipuncture. Triages patient calls and manages the work-in schedule. Works with Lab Manager to attain proficiencies with lab equipment, processes and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Job Requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum Education Requirement</p> </li><li> <p>Two year degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum Experience Requirement</p> </li><li> <p>Two years prior experience in a physician office preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum License Requirement</p> </li><li> <p>CMA, LPN, or RN and current BLS certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical Requirement/Working Conditions</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires crouching, bending, reaching, the ability to take and read vital signs and the ability to assist patients on and off of exam tables, as well as assisting patients from wheel chairs.
