<p>Who Are We?</p> <p>Ventrac, located in Orrville, Ohio, is a division of The Toro Company. Ventrac is a premier innovator of equipment for turf and landscape grounds management, sidewalk snow removal, and specialty grounds care maintenance. Built for performance with quality to last, Ventrac equipment is ideal for golf course turf management, sports fields, collegiate campuses, residential and commercial property maintenance, and public green spaces. #LI-Ventrac</p> <p>The primary role of this position will be to deliver sales and technical training to Ventrac dealers, technicians, and sales staff by leading and facilitating factory sales and service training events at Ventrac's Training Center in Orrville, OH. The Factory Training Specialist also updates and distributes sales and service training content for in-person events, for Ventrac's online LMS platform, or for use during new dealer onboarding. Factory training also includes facilitating and coordinating various customer events and internal training. To support the Ventrac sales and service teams at trade shows, dealer sales events, or field technical training, travel time required will be up to 65%.</p> <p>What Will You Do?</p> <p>In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:</p> <p>Factory Service Training</p> <ul> <li>Assist in training dealer technicians through service training events, video presentation, and web-based learning </li><li>Assist in Development of training material for use at customer clinics and in house training. </li></ul> <p>Factory Sales Training</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Engineering during the New Product Development Process to provide sales & service training for all new products before they are introduced to Ventrac dealers. Update training materials to reflect product changes and new products. </li><li>Deliver sales training content according to business needs and ensure all gaps in knowledge, skills, and competency have been fulfilled. This training must be compliant with safe operation of Ventrac equipment. </li><li>Present at training sessions for large groups both in the classroom setting, lab, and hands-on at VPI Bridgeway Training Center (Sales training events, sales meetings, internal training with VPI staff, etc.) </li></ul> <p>New Dealer Training</p> <ul> <li>Provide in-depth product training on Ventrac equipment with new dealers </li><li>Provide in-depth technical explanation of Ventrac systems including troubleshooting basics, critical repair procedures and proper maintenance practices for dealers </li></ul> <p>Field Sales & Technical Support</p> <ul> <li>Conduct training sessions for Ventrac international distributors (may require use of an interpreter) </li><li>Build and maintain a good rapport with dealership sales and service personnel (domestic and international) </li><li>Address product concerns or failure trends with the Service department and other departments as needed </li><li>Attend Ventrac trade shows to support sales efforts and answer technical questions from customers </li><li>Provide support to our DSM's as needed for coverage of demo's and sales rep ride along. </li></ul> <p>What Do You Need?</p> <p>To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma minimally required with 0-2+ years of experience. Degree preferred. </li><li>Must enjoy speaking with, instructing, and interacting with people from various backgrounds, languages, and ethnic groups (including through the use of an interpreter) </li><li>Excellent oral and written English communication skills </li><li>Demonstrate ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively with unhappy customers </li><li>Proven ability to work as part of a team, accept feedback and make necessary changes </li><li>Excellent computer and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Office, Internet) </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills - professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful </li><li>Self-motivated with excellent project, time management and organization skills </li><li>Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time; physically able to operate and repair Ventrac equipment including bending, kneeling, or laying down to work on it. </li><li>Able to occasionally lift 45 lbs. </li><li>May require up to 65% travel time. Must have, or be able to gain a Medical Examiner's Certificate </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualification:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years' experience training technicians on how to repair and service Ag, Auto or Commercial Turf equipment </li><li>2+ years of sales experience. </li><li>Previous work or experience with Ventrac equipment </li></ul> <p>What Can We Give You?</p> <p>At Ventrac we are always working to make sure our employees know just how valued they are.
