<p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Department of Strategic Communication, Organizational Communication and Leadership in the College of Communication at Butler University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer who will also manage the college's online degree completion program, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (BSOL). This is a three-year appointment, which can be renewed. The expected start date is summer 2025. This position primarily manages curriculum development and management, recruitment, enrollment, course scheduling by cohort, and promotion for the BSOL Program in collaboration with college, campus, and community partners.</p> <p>This position also teaches courses within the BSOL program, develops courses for the program, and potentially teaches within the onsite traditional program in the Department of Strategic Communication, Organizational Communication and Leadership.</p> <p>We seek applicants with strong professional and teaching experience in higher education, including the management of large academic curricular programming. CCOM is a dynamic and forward-thinking college that seeks to create a welcoming learning environment with a student-focused approach. Lecturers in the College have a typical teaching load of 4 courses per semester with an expectation for creative/professional activities; however, this position will have a teaching load of 2/2 for the Fall 2025 semester along with responsibility for managing the BSOL Program.
