Location, Sunday-Thursday, First shift.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The commissary worker is responsible for the preparation and production of Duchess proprietary food items, to be delivered by a third-party contractor to our Duchess stores.</p> <p>A commitment to food safety, following recipes, and speed are paramount.</p> <p>This is predominantly a Sunday through Thursday, first shift position but can vary depending on business needs.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for preparing various food prep products. </li><li>Operating a variety of kitchen utensils and/or equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, etc. </li><li>Follow recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation. </li><li>Prep foods using the proper method of peeling, cutting, slicing, straining, stirring, or kneading. </li><li>Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, and stock rotation along with checking the temperature of products. </li><li>Receive food and beverage product supplies and stock areas as needed. </li><li>Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart. </li><li>Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment. </li><li>Assist with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed. </li><li>Other duties as needed and required by Management. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all quality and Health/Safety requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State, and Local standards. </li><li>Dependability: Is punctual. Communicates schedule changes to appropriate supervisors. </li><li>Uniform/Personal Appearance: Always dressed in complete uniform and presents a well-groomed appearance. </li><li>Commitment: Shows initiative and follows through with tasks. </li><li>Must be able to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods to perform job functions. </li><li>Must have the ability to lift and push objects weighing over 40 lbs. </li><li>Report any safety hazards to management immediately. </li></ul>
