<p>SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Vice President and Dean for the School of Theology.</p> <p>SUPERVISION EXERCISED: All Seminary Admissions and Recruitment Staff</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Enrollment & Financial Aid for the School of Theology is charged with developing and implementing a recruitment and admissions strategy to meet enrollment targets for the Moravian University School of Theology. The Director will oversee both the Bethlehem and Lancaster campuses and make efforts to streamline enrollment operations and processes in support of enrollment goals. Promote the School of Theology and its programs effectively to prospective students as well as the public at large. While working closely with the Seminary Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, key staff and faculty committees, the Moravian Marketing & Communication department, and the Executive Director of Enrollment, the Director will develop and oversee the execution of marketing plans, recruitment plans, as well as daily operations. This role will focus on the unique characteristics of theological education, with a special focus in the areas of marketing, recruitment, applicant evaluation, yield management, team and project management, and analytics and reporting.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Support the Vice President & Dean in setting recruitment goals and strategic recruitment/enrollment plan(s) for all Seminary programs. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Enrollment to share goals and plans. Work closely with the Vice President & Dean, Director of Communications & Marketing, and key faculty and staff to develop and execute an annual marketing plan for Seminary programs. Lead the development and management of Seminary inquiries, application, decision-making, and yield of enrolling students in close cooperation with relevant faculty and staff. Shepherd requests for needed admissions decisions through faculty Admissions and Standing committees. Supervise admissions staff including office and seminary recruiters and admissions counselors recruitment staff including Seminary admission counselors. Manage all Seminary promotional material/tools; particularly the website. Create, analyze, and interpret Seminary Enrollment trends through data reporting. Keep administration, faculty, and Seminary Board of Trustees informed of trends through tracking and reporting of appropriate statistical data. Determine and allocate Scholarships/Financial Aid for new and returning students Partner with Enrollment Operations, Financial Aid, Registrar, and other key offices relevant to the student onboarding experience to build appropriate support across multiple locations. Assist, when called upon, in academic advising. Travel, to include overnight, weeknight, and weekend travel for recruitment. Develop and maintain relationships with the Moravian Church, the United Church of Christ, other churches and denominations and other external groups for the purpose of promoting the School of Theology programs and cultivating pathways to seminary for prospective students. Attend professional development opportunities, including ATS events, to acquire best practice knowledge and contribute to the national discussion. Take a leadership role where appropriate to help maximize the School of Theology visibility. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President & Dean.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree is required (Master of Divinity degree, ordination, and ministerial experience strongly preferred). Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. 5-10 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a college or university setting is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in seminary recruitment and admission functions. Experience in marketing strategy and CRM implementation and management. Knowledge of the experience of call and the ordination process for various traditions. Familiarity with the needs and issues related to both part and full-time, domestic and international graduate/adult populations. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and market to a variety of seminary academic programs. Experience working effectively with administrators, faculty, students and external constituents to develop programs that meet market needs. Proven success building productive relationships within and beyond Moravian and Lancaster Seminaries. Budget management experience. Must be energetic, organized, forward-thinking and creative with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
