<p>ABOUT JEFFERSON COUNTY'S AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER (ADRC) Jefferson County's Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) takes pride in their mission to help people achieve their goals by providing them with comprehensive information so they can make informed decisions, and advocate support to ensure that they remain in charge of their lives.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>WHAT YOU WILL DO In order to allow older persons and people with disabilities to live independently in the community, you will provide transportation services such as medical care and grocery shopping. With this service, our hope is to prevent isolation and the possible need for long-term care placement.</p> <p>SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES In order to keep this beneficial program running, the ADRC is looking for part-time (19 hours per week) van drivers to join the transportation team and take on the following tasks and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operates county vehicle to provide transportation to elderly and people with disabilities who are county residents to medical and nutritional services. </li><li>Provides hands-on assistance to passengers with walking, boarding and packages as needed. </li><li>Compiles and prepares daily trip statistics. </li><li>Cleans vehicle inside and out. </li><li>Completes daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and reports need for repairs. </li><li>Collects, records and deposits rider donations. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Wage is $18.00- $18.93/hour based on candidate's successful experience and qualification.
