From family picnics to holiday parties, we make sure to build a strong sense of community.</p> </li><li> <p>Total Compensation: Enjoy competitive pay, quarterly bonuses, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match after 90 days of employment, ensuring your financial security both now and in the future.</p> </li></ul> <p>Join us at Experity and experience a workplace where you're valued, supported, and empowered to thrive!</p> <p>Onsite: This position will be onsite Monday - Friday at our Machesney Park office.</p> <p>Pay: $20 hourly</p> <p>Job Type: Full time</p> <p>Work Schedules: Monday - Friday</p> <ul> <li>7:30 am - 4:00 pm </li><li>8:00 am - 4:30 pm </li><li>OT available after training if requirements are met </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Counsel patients regarding financial obligations related to account balances.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with insurance payers for processing of appeals and errors including paper appeals or online portal entry as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Receive and resolve inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to patient accounts from patients, insurance carriers, employers, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for resolution and appropriate refunding of credit balances. Includes working credit balance reports as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the review and resolution of denied claims on EDI reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for timely review and release of charges on hold.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and coding of patient medical record in compliance with standard coding guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Review explanations of benefits for correct adjudication and payment according to applicable managed care contract terms and reimbursement.</p> </li><li> <p>Review of unpaid claims, researching denials, and/or lack of activity to ensure timely payment and maintain cash flow.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and update patient and insurance demographics as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide feedback to providers regarding documentation in medical records.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and resolve EDI rejections and payer denials.</p> </li><li> <p>Print and mail corporate statements and secondary claims.</p> </li><li> <p>Review coding denials.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>One year experience in customer service </li><li>Experience in a physician office </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology </li></ul> <p>Every Team Member lives and breathes our Core Values:</p> <ul> <li>Team First </li><li>Lift Others Up </li><li>Share Openly </li><li>Set and Crush Goals </li><li>Delight the Client </li></ul>
