<p>We are seeking a part-time Success Coach who will report to the Reconnect Program Project Director. This person will be responsible for providing success coaching to currently-enrolled, part-time students who may be at risk of stopping out and re-enrolled PCCC students who had previously "stopped out" but are now returning to their studies. This will involve conducting regular, ongoing meetings via phone, videoconferencing, and/or in person with their assigned students, connecting each student with needed support provided by the Reconnect program, and maintaining updated documentation of each student's activities and progress. The coaching and grant support provided will ultimately afford these at-risk and stopped-out students a maximal opportunity to complete their college degree program or credential.</p> <p>This is a part-time, hourly position.</p> <p>Example of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct coaching sessions during late afternoon/early evening weekday hours using Inside Track Success Coaching methods via phone, videoconferencing, or in person meetings with a total of ~100 assigned currently-enrolled, at-risk part-time students and, as appropriate, re-enrolled formerly stopped-out students, who are participating in the PCCC-TSSS Program </li><li>Assist each student to create and follow a customized Student Re-Engagement Plan </li><li>Provide academic advisement and support to each student </li><li>Connect each student to on-campus and off-campus support services and resources that will address their unique needs </li><li>Coordinate student success workshops for Reconnect Program participants, as appropriate </li><li>Introduce students to career and employment workshops/trainings, student success-related workshops (e.g., time management, conducting research), etc. and services that will meet their unique needs </li><li>Collect and maintain success coaching data </li><li>Serve on the Project Management Team and the PCCC-TSSS Program Advisory Council, as available </li><li>Participate in project evaluation and institutionalization of activities </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field is required; Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education or related field preferred. </li><li>Two (2) or more years of work experience in an academic setting or a counseling setting working with underserved students or clients is preferred. </li><li>Bilingual in English and another high-need language preferred </li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required </li><li>Knowledge of or ability and commitment to learn how to read, interpret, and explain degree audits </li><li>Knowledge of or ability and commitment to learn Inside Track Success Coaching </li><li>Proven ability to work both independently and in diverse teams </li><li>Experience working on grant-funded projects a plus </li><li>Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as program requires </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $25-$32, depending upon highest educational degree obtained.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
