<p>PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)</p> <p>Pay range: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour</p> <p>Logistics & Warehouse Lead Person is responsible to direct the movement of goods ensuring efficient and timely delivery. Lead logistics operations, including inventory, warehousing, transportation, and delivery. Key responsibilities include planning daily workflow.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Directs and participates in the daily steel Warehouse and Shipping activity including prioritizing workload for job pulls and unloading steel truck loads. </li><li>Monitors the timely processing of incoming shipments and stocking the items in the Warehouse. </li><li>Maintains shortage pulls to support manufacturing operations. </li><li>Coordinates requirements (within Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse) of Sales Department to meet customer requirements for delivery. </li><li>Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, Sales requirements, and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. </li><li>Monitors the physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking, to distribution. </li><li>Maintains accuracy of inventory by cycle count, and implementation of corrective actions. </li><li>Oversees outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. </li><li>Schedules inbound and out bound freight by carrier. </li><li>Acts as backup for processing international freight shipments. </li><li>Develops procedures to train employees on stock transaction procedures and proper material handling. </li><li>Performs all normal department lead functions, to including interviewing, training, and annual reviews with the manager. </li><li>Actively participates in all continuous improvement activities in Logistics. </li><li>Ensures adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. </li><li>All other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Experience/Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations. Experience in warehousing and transportation. Proficiency in relevant software and systems. Strong organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Forktruck experience a must. Basic blueprint reading. Must be able to read a tape measure. Basic math skills a plus. </li></ul>
