Here at St. Peter's Health Partner's, we care for more people in more places.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Recognized leader: Magnet Hospital in the Capital Region </li><li>Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge </li><li>Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development </li><li>Work/Life: Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <p>Create and prepare food items and act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service is being delivered.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy </li><li>Prepares foods to the specifications of the client </li><li>Prepares food before the arrival of guests </li><li>Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns </li><li>Manages other employees in the kitchen </li><li>Seasons food according to recipes or company needs </li><li>Orders ingredients and spices as needed </li><li>Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer </li><li>Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference </li><li>Assists other cooks during the food assembly process </li><li>Devises new recipes </li><li>Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation </li><li>Keeps records and accounts of food purchases </li><li>Orders new menu items for specials or cheap deals </li><li>Butchers and cooks animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphere </li><li>Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience </li><li>Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins </li><li>Stays open until the last customer leaves </li><li>Offers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants </li><li>Cleans up after business hours </li><li>Communicates with owner about how to improve meal service </li><li>Alters dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirements </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Food service and customer service experience is preferred </li><li>Culinary degree or accredited culinary course preferred </li><li>Ability to follow instructions </li><li>Ability to read and write English at a minimum 6th grade level </li></ul> <p>We thank you for your interest in St. Peter's Health Partners and look forward to hearing from you soon!</p> <p>Pay Range: $16.70 - $20.36</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
