<p>NURSING SUMMARY/ PURPOSE OF POSITION</p> <p>The Aultman Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse that provides direct, primary nursing care to patients/residents. The RN delegates and coordinates patient care, based upon a documented assessment of the patient's/resident's needs. Additionally, minor surgeries and miscellaneous outpatient procedures are performed. The department is closed on weekends and major holidays. </li><li>Shifts are variable based onprocedure volume. </li><li>When the department is closed, there isat least one RN on call with a 30-minute response time. </li><li>Call coverage for week nights, weekends, and holidays is assigned in a group rotation. </li><li>Lunch periods and breaks arecoordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage for procedures. </li></ul>
