<p>Organization Overview The Development Program provides in excess of $50 million in private support annually toward the mission of The Rockefeller University,which is to improve the understanding of life for the benefit of humanity. Working with the Board of Trustees and volunteer groups,including The Rockefeller University Council,the Committee on Trust and Estate Plans,and the Women and Science and Parents and Science Initiatives,the Development Office oversees all private fund-raising at the University,including annual,capital,and endowment campaigns. Overview The Development Assistant will provide staff support in the Office of Development for the Foundation Relations and Grants Management group, as well as provide additional support for the Major Gifts group. Assist with the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of philanthropic support for biomedical research and the administration of institutional and investigator-initiated awards and fellowships. Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Assist in drafting, proofreading, copy editing, and producing written materials, including letters, proposals, reports, budgets, briefing materials, and promotional pieces Create and maintain foundation donor records in Blackbaud CRM and shared drive, track proposals, reporting deadlines, and acknowledgments, run and format reports, and ensure accuracy of data Support grant application processes, including management of print and digital materials Assist with coordination of meetings, site visits, and other events, including scheduling, logistics, preparation of meeting materials, taking accurate meeting notes, and producing reports Work with other Development Office teams on programs and university events upon request, including the university's annual fundraisers, Convocation, lectures, symposia, and other events Provide general administrative assistance to the department, performing such duties as responding to emails, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, updating calendars, and other tasks as needed Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required Excellent communication and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a demanding environment Ability to work as a member of a highly collaborative office, be responsive to feedback, produce time-sensitive materials, and handle confidential information Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with diverse personalities An interest in and ability to prepare high quality materials for sophisticated audiences Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and an understanding of database programs PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in programs such as Keynote, fundraising software/Blackbaud CRM, Adobe Creative apps (Photoshop and Illustrator) is desired Interest in science is a plus The Rockefeller University is an equal opportunity employer - veterans/individuals with disabilities. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Compensation Range: Min USD $48,000.00/Yr. Compensation Range: Max USD $55,000.00/Yr.</p>
