<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The ID Card Office seeks a talented, motivated student to assist in office tasks in the areas of customer service, equipment maintenance, and data processing during Summer 2025, with the possibility of continuing in this role during the academic year.</p> <p>Full-time summer employees are expected to work up to 37.5 hours per week, inclusive of a standard weekday schedule of 8:30am - 4pm. The ID Card Office Summer Student Assistant will begin work Monday, June 2, 2025. Summer employment will end at the close of the day on Friday, August 8th, 2025, with the option of continuing employment into the Fall semester upon mutual agreement.</p> <p>Applicants must have been enrolled during the Spring 2025 semester and must be continuing students in Fall 2025. Fall 2024/Spring 2025 graduates will be considered dependent on the applicant pool. Interviews may be held to determine the summer appointments.</p> <p>Interviews may be held on a rolling basis as applications are received! Early applications are therefore encouraged!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist users with the activation of mobileID cards, diagnosing and resolving emerging issues </li><li>Print physical ID cards as necessary </li><li>Assist customers in our office with questions about their physical and digital ID cards </li><li>Assist with hardware staging, sorting, configuration, and troubleshooting </li><li>Perform audits of financial transactions, card reader equipment, and database records in various systems </li><li>Prepare large sets of ID cards for special projects and needs </li><li>Travel to campus buildings to inspect and configure card reader equipment </li><li>Travel to campus buildings to deliver various packages </li><li>Assist with miscellaneous office projects as assigned </li><li>Perform site housekeeping as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills </li><li>High aptitude for detail-oriented, accurate data processing </li><li>Ability to work independently and learn quickly </li><li>Trustworthiness in handling confidential data </li><li>Professional conduct as a representative of the Center for Information Technology </li></ul> <p>No specific computer background or technical knowledge is required, but strong logical thinking and problem solving skills will be indispensable for more ambitious tasks</p> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Enthusiasm for technology and a desire to learn new skills </li><li>Ability to push carts across campus and lift 30 lbs for brief periods </li></ul> <p>Quick Link for Posting https://jobs.oberlin.edu/postings/16322 Compensation</p> <p>$13.50 / hour</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Please email idcard@oberlin.edu with any questions about this position.</p>
