<p>Job Description:</p> <p>This is a Federal Work Study (FWS) position.</p> <p>Come work at the Counseling & Community Care Hub! We have a great office environment and are seeking applicants for Federal Work-Study positions. This highly confidential position is open to OCC students who are eligible for Federal Work Study aid. Approximately 10-15 hours per week.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Front desk coverage in Office Coordinator's absence. </li><li>Answer Counseling Center phones, taking detailed messages, forwarding to appropriate person. </li><li>Answer student questions or assist them in finding the appropriate parties who can assist student. </li><li>Check students in for their appointments. </li><li>Professionally and empathetically handle students in crisis and/or with sensitive situations. </li><li>Assist students with Food Pantry visits. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a Work-Study Eligible Student in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher). </li><li>Successful candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor. </li><li>Proficiency on MS Office (Word, Excel and Publisher) is a plus! </li><li>Must be efficient, responsible and have reliable transportation. </li><li>Must have strong attention to detail and work well under pressure. </li><li>This is a highly confidential position, and successful candidate must be empathetic and value the privacy of others. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Pay Rate: $15.00 /hr </li></ul> <p>To see if you qualify for Federal Work Study (FWS) positions:</p> <ul> <li>Visit OCC's Work-Study page </li><li>Review the Work-Study Checklist </li><li>And submit a Work-Study Interest Form </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>No cover letter, resume, or references needed!</p> </li><li> <p>Just please provide days and times you are available to work.</p> </li><li> <p>You can upload a file with this info under "Work Availability" in the job application.</p> </li><li> <p>Work Study Aides may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional hours may be worked during college breaks.</p> </li></ul>
