This technically challenging area requires multi-disciplinary expertise and excellent communication skills. We are seeking a dynamic leader who can mentor and guide teams in this high-profile role within the organization.</p> <p>You will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling across all therapeutic areas and modalities in the pipeline.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating closely with discovery teams to set overall program PK/PD and dose prediction strategies to ensure efficient generation of key data while minimizing animal use (3Rs).</p> </li><li> <p>Assigning team members to projects (both internal discovery projects and due diligence reviews) based on a combination of expertise, availability, co-location with other project leads, and individual development opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing strategic direction for the group, identifying additional opportunities where advanced PK and PD modeling strategies can improve R&D effectiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing critical input to due diligence reviews of potential in-licensing and acquisition opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentoring, training, recruiting, and hiring of team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining continuity of projects as they move through early development via ongoing communication/collaboration with partners in clinical pharmacology, clinical development, and other members of compound development teams.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications / Requirements:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience & Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>10+ years of relevant experience is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong familiarity with principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and expertise in use of modeling software for PK and PK/PD analyses is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas and multiple drug modalities is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with external innovation, due diligence reviews and onboarding/integration into the portfolio is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using multiple modeling software applications (e.g., R, Monolix, Matlab, NONMEM, Python) is preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>The anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $276,000.</p> <p>The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year.
