<p>Job Description:</p> <p>GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management and other admissions personnel in the planning, organization, and administration of the undergraduate admissions program at the University.</p> <p>SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions and indirectly to Associate Dean of Admissions/Director of Undergraduate Admissions; will work on team projects under the leadership of designated team leaders.</p> <p>SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/A</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Recruits and selects prospective first year, and transfer applicants for Framingham State University.</p> <ul> <li>Manages an assigned recruitment territory. Guides prospective students and applicants through all phases of the enrollment funnel (inquiry to matriculation), including financial aid advisement and post-deposit activities (e.g., "summer melt" mitigation). </li><li>Travels to high schools, community colleges and college informational fairs and attends programs on and off campus as required. </li><li>Meets with prospective students and communicates application procedures to students, parents, high school counselors, and community college advisors. </li><li>Serves as member of the Admissions Committee; independently reviews applications and makes admissions decisions and merit-based scholarship decisions. </li><li>Conducts admissions information sessions (individual and large group formats). </li><li>Assists in preparation of statistical data/reports appropriate to the Admissions Office. </li><li>Assists in the evaluation of the publications, programs, and overall recruitment strategies of the Admissions Office. </li><li>Available to serve on special and/or standing committees of the University. </li><li>Assumes major responsibility for one or more assigned areas. </li><li>Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned. </li><li>Strives to maintain and augment knowledge and skills in the admissions field through advanced study, professional activities or participation in conferences, seminars, workshops and similar professional gatherings. </li><li>Actively contributes to deliver a working environment that promotes optimism, collaboration, respect, solutions conscious dialogue, and exceptional service to everyone. </li><li>Ensures that equal opportunity, inclusion, and equity are integrally part of all actions and decisions within the scope of duties. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Work is conducted in an office environment or at various recruiting locations. The position requires some evening and weekend work, especially during peak times. In accordance with the University's Staff Telework Guidelines, this position may be eligible for some hybrid work opportunities following a provisional period and a determination of employee suitability.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative staff, classified personnel and students. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to express oneself effectively in written and oral communication. </li><li>Must have the flexibility to work weekends and evenings. </li><li>A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is required. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Professional experience in admissions related work. </li><li>Knowledgeable of FSU programs. </li><li>Experience with Slate, Banner Student Information System and programs related to the Unified Digital Campus. </li><li>Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a union title of Staff Assistant.
