<p>This position is focused on maintaining and supporting software used within the Ashland City Schools, including desktop applications, cloud-based applications, and various online resources. This person will acquire a thorough knowledge of software products in use in the school and will be responsible for procuring them, maintaining them, and assisting others with their use. Duties will include purchasing, license agreements, technical support, and account maintenance. Other duties will include updating the district web site and digital signage and creating graphics.</p> <p>Start date: Dependent upon the candidate's availability.</p> <p>This position is 260 days per year with paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal leave.</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Technology. Works closely with the Chief Curriculum and Innovation Officer.</p> <p>Primary duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist staff with the use of software. Provide training and technical support. </li><li>Maintain an up-to-date list of software used in Ashland City Schools. </li><li>Receive requests for new software packages, review them, and approve or deny them in conjunction with the chief curriculum and innovation officer and the technology director. </li><li>Review software contracts and terms of use for compliance with applicable laws. </li><li>Purchase software licenses and subscriptions. </li><li>Integrate student data between the student information system and software platforms. </li><li>Configure software platforms to integrate with other platforms such as Google Workspace and Canvas. </li><li>Manage iPad apps and purchases. </li><li>Assist parents with access to Ashland City Schools systems such as online forms, gradebook, notification system, and payment system. </li><li>Create and delete accounts in Active Directory and various software platforms. </li><li>Issue computers and iPads to new employees. </li><li>Assist new employees with first login and help them get started with their computer and email. </li><li>Update and maintain the Ashland City Schools web site. </li><li>Create content for digital signage. </li><li>Create graphics, logos, and videos for other departments. </li><li>Assist with video live streaming. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in instructional technology software support or education field is preferred. </li><li>Experience with spreadsheets, data import/export and manipulation is preferred. </li><li>Must be willing to be trained in information systems and systems integration. </li><li>Good interpersonal skills are required. </li><li>Experience with digital media and graphic arts is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation follows Administrative pay scale and does take educational background into consideration.</p> <p>Interested internal applicants should submit a letter of interest to Raelee Crunkilton, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, 1407 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or email rabennet@goarrows.org by Friday, March 14, 2025.</p> <p>External applicants should go to the Ashland City School District website to complete an on-line application.
