<p>The Maslow Media Group is currently recruiting for As-Needed, Multi-Skilled Operators for our client.</p> <p>Positions are onsite in Bedminster, NJ and Middletown, NJ.</p> <p>These are all ad hoc roles that will be scheduled in advance with no guaranteed hours. Equipment will be provided.</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>The Video Production Multi-Skilled Technician's primary objective is to ensure high-quality audio and visual experiences during internal and external events, meetings, and conferences. These roles include both Studio and Control room functions including camera operator, graphics operator, production assistant, A1, video shader, technical director, and lighting director. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set in audio-visual technology, event support, and troubleshooting, enabling them to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for various events, including presentations, conferences, and virtual meetings. </li><li>Collaborate with event organizers to understand technical requirements and provide recommendations for audio-visual solutions. </li><li>Ensure optimal sound, lighting, and video quality during live events by monitoring and adjusting equipment as necessary. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly during events to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth experience for participants. </li><li>Assist in the design and implementation of multimedia presentations, ensuring content is engaging and accessible. </li><li>Maintain inventory and perform routine maintenance on audio-visual equipment to ensure reliability and functionality. </li><li>Train staff and end-users on the proper use of audio-visual technology and best practices for effective presentations. </li><li>Stay current with emerging audio-visual technologies and trends to continuously enhance service offerings. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by leadership team. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in media production, Communications, or a related field, or history of equivalent experience. </li><li>Proven experience in multidisciplinary audio-visual operations in a corporate control room. </li><li>Experience with operation of equipment during live productions, ENG/robotic cameras, Yamaha QL5/Rivage mixers, Shure/Sennheiser microphones, Ross XPression, Ross Carbonite/Acuity switchers, ETC lighting systems, HOG lighting systems, projectors, video shaders, and PC and Mac OS. </li><li>Prior experience with studio cameras, ENG cameras, cinema cameras, and audio work, as well as control room roles ranging from technical director, A1, electronic graphics operator. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and time management skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and collaboration. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively. </li><li>Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies. </li><li>Primarily available for shifts during business hours on an as-needed events-based cadence, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for special events. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain and set up robotic cameras and lighting in studio, auditorium, and other event locations. </li><li>Ability to establish microphones, IFBs, and comms for productions. </li><li>Experience or familiarity with configuration of equipment in preparation for production. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Whether it's in the studio or field, camera work is seldom performed while seated.
