<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Work with the Equal Employment Opportunity Director to provide collaboration and consultation on a broad range of workplace issues while focusing on investigation of matters including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, bias and workplace misconduct.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>40% Assist with intake and investigations of discrimination and harassment complaints filed by students, staff, faculty or visitors in compliance with federal, state, local laws and University policies and procedures. Develop investigative plans by leading witness interviews, party interviews, gathering relevant documentation, analyzing statements, and reaching a recommendation for review. Produce investigative reports and recommendations.</p> <p>30% Work with HR Operations to analyze candidate pool data, interview questions, and other employment related data for EEO compliance.</p> <p>20% Assist with review and approval of employee accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA). Assist with Sexual Harassment/Title IX training of University faculty and staff.</p> <p>10% Assist with reporting for annual data collection, analysis and preparation of EEO reports. Serve on University committees including but not limited to Veterans Steering, and Sexual Assault and Violence Education.</p> <p>Additional Position Information:</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources or related environment, to include 2 years assisting with or conducting workplace investigations, such as investigating discrimination, harassment, employee discipline or worker's compensation. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement, assess and negotiate complex, highly sensitive situations, ability to maintain confidentiality, be discrete and maintain neutrality. Writing and research skills and the ability to generate concise and logical reports that convey complex and sensitive issues. Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to EEO, Title IX, Title VII and ADA. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, faculty, students and community partners. Demonstrated skill in working with various ethnic, social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds. Computer skills with emphasis on strong Excel and database background and ability to generate reports required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.</p> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <p>Minimum of 3 years of recent and substantive experience conducting employment-based discrimination and discriminatory harassment investigations. Strong command and working knowledge of basic and advanced principles of federal and state nondiscrimination laws and employment discrimination, including but limited to, Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
