<p>The Leominster Public School Department is now accepting applications for the following</p> <p>2024 - 2025 position</p> <p>Virtual High School / Credit Recovery Teacher</p> <p>ELL TEACHER</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>JOB GOAL: Work collaboratively with the Principal and staff to deliver a high-quality learning experience for students enrolled in Leominster's Personalized Virtual High School / Credit Recovery programs.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, prepare and deliver highly interactive instructional activities through various online applications. </li><li>Create synchronous and asynchronous lesson plans throughout the year </li><li>Be willing to oversee online classes as well as teach classes in-person </li><li>Use formative and summative data to modify lessons for the students as appropriate </li><li>Establish and communicate clear content and language objectives for all learning activities. </li><li>Motivate and engage students </li><li>Ensure students and families understand and can articulate expectations for success. </li><li>Conduct personalized support/tutorial services for students as needed. </li><li>Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in. </li><li>Personalize instruction based on student learning needs. </li><li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions. </li><li>Work with guidance, support staff, and administrative teams to ensure initiatives are being met. </li><li>Follow MA State Teacher Evaluation System. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current and valid certification as English as a Second Language (5 - 12) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. </li><li>Current and valid Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement (SEI) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of Elementary and Secondary Education </li></ul>
