<p>Req Id: 35024</p> <p>Job Title: Temporary - Support</p> <p>City: West Lafayette</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Career Advisor position is part of a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to empowering undergraduate students in their career journey within the Mitch Daniels School of Business. This is a 10-month (August - May) part-time (20 hrs/per week) non- benefits eligible position. The position involves several key roles:</p> <ul> <li>Advising: Provide one-on-one and group career advising for students, focusing on careers in business, professional development, and career readiness </li><li>Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, the employer landscape, and professional associations to effectively guide students. </li><li>Job Search Support: Assist students with career exploration, resume, and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, and provide opportunities for them to connect with alumni and potential employers. </li><li>Classroom Engagement: Deliver professional development content for courses, especially in MGMT 295: Career Readiness and Exploration. </li><li>Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, employers, and external stakeholders to promote engagement and support student success. </li><li>Data Insights: Offer ongoing metrics and insights related to employment status and action plans to aid students in their career progression.
