Posting Number 20166664S Job Description</p> <p>The Intermittent Advancement Marketing Strategist serves as the senior strategist and project leader for marketing and communications initiatives supporting the Division of University Advancement. He/she will regularly meet and develop relationships with VPs and members of both Divisions leadership teams to provide strategic marketing and brand guidance to advance institutional priorities.</p> <p>Position responsibilities include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Advancement Integrated Marketing Strategy: Provide strategic consultation and project oversight for all marketing and outreach plans designed to drive donations and alumni engagement, including but not limited to overseeing marketing strategies to support annual giving initiatives such as the University's annual Giving Day, alumni events such as Homecoming, and more. Interface with clients to understand objectives and outcomes. Translate client needs into recommendations for a strategic plan. Maintains ongoing assessment on effectiveness and quality of Advancement communications.Oversee the visual identity and branding of Advancement in keeping with the OHIO brand. </li><li>Creative Project Direction:Gather project details, draft creative briefs as needed for the UCM team, provide strategic creative and brand direction to Advancement colleagues to help them reach their fundraising and engagement goals, and ensuring deliverables are on track to on-time completion. Oversee projects and project teams. Guide creative team to ensure design materials and messaging aligns with goals and uplifts the institutional brand. Manage the production of print, electronic, video and web-based communications to support strategic communications initiatives. </li><li>Digital Strategy: Coordinate with the social media, web and media buying teams in UCM as well as teams in Advancement to ensure the Giving website and Alumni social media platforms tell a compelling and up to date brand story to alumni and donors. Oversee the execution of paid social media campaigns to support giving initiatives. Serve as a subject matter expert in digital strategy. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications/Design or related field. </li><li>8 plus years of work related experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's Degree</p> <p>Department University Communications and Marketing Pay Rate</p> <p>The hiring range for this position is $32.84 to $56.31. The approved range is $32.84 to $44.33.
