Other duties may be assigned</p> <p>Operational Excellence</p> <ul> <li>Completes daily checklists as directed. </li><li>Performs simple maintenance duties to the buildings, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance. </li><li>Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, trash pick-up, and snow removal. </li><li>Performs miscellaneous maintenance activities such as painting, set up and tear down for events, erecting and disassembling tents, hauling bleachers, cans etc. </li><li>Responsible for the opening and closing of the building on a daily basis. </li><li>Provides quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and other District employees. </li><li>Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts. </li></ul> <p>Safety/Inspection</p> <ul> <li>Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required. </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of all general and departmental - specific safety rules. </li><li>Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization. </li><li>Inspect work areas (use checklists) for compliance with safe work practices and rules. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED. Experience with janitorial equipment/maintenance preferred.
