We build effective partnerships with co-workers throughout the College by freely sharing appropriate information and providing assistance to all and maintain an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) seeks an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Event Marketing to support college-wide events hosted by various departments and programs. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) as part of the MassArt Marketing and Communications department, this role requires a strong understanding of auxiliary services and event operations to manage logistics, vendor relations, and stakeholder collaboration.</p> <p>The Associate Director of Event Marketing will be responsible for branding and promotional efforts to ensure event alignment with MassArt's overall mission and outreach strategy, helping to build a strong sense of community and awareness for the programming and events happening at the College. The associate director should demonstrate creativity, strategic thinking, a passion for higher education and the arts, and possess a strong understanding of branding principles, marketing techniques, and project management skills. They must be adept at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Overall, this is a pivotal role in establishing the MarComm department as a service-oriented hub, enhancing the visibility and reputation of the College, fostering community engagement, and advancing the overall mission.</p> <p>Supervision Received: Chief Marketing Officer</p> <p>Supervision Exercised: None</p> <p>This position is governed by the APA contract and bargaining unit.</p> <p>Salary: The range for this position is $85,000-$92,000</p> <p>Key duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating departments and programs to build a comprehensive event calendar </li><li>Coordinating with photographers, community partners, clients, and vendors </li><li>Managing email communications, event postings, and signage to enhance the visibility and success of each event. </li><li>A strong understanding of auxiliary services and event operations to manage logistics, vendor relations, and stakeholder collaboration. </li><li>Must be adept at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, education or related field </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in event marketing, event management, communications, or marketing in a higher education or non-profit environment, or related field </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and community partners. </li><li>Demonstrated success in managing complex event logistics and working with multiple stakeholders. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple projects. </li><li>Ability to manage budgets and negotiate vendor contracts to optimize resources and ensure high-quality event experiences. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that align with institutional branding and goals. </li><li>Experience working in a higher education or nonprofit setting is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Please note MassArt:</p> <ul> <li>Does not support employment-based visa sponsorship or non-student exchange visitor visa sponsorship. </li><li>Is not an E-Verify institution. </li></ul> <p>Selected candidates must be eligible to work in the US at the time of employment, complete all onboarding tasks including a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background review and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US by completing the Form 19, Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.</p> <p>You are required to show proof of your identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of the start of your employment.
