<ul> <li>Adhere to all safety practices related to IGU transport and assembly. </li><li>Assemble industrial gearboxes to production order instructions. </li><li>Read and interpret assembly drawings provided with production order packets. </li><li>Check production orders for accuracy. </li><li>Visually check parts for quality. </li><li>Pressure and run test units. </li><li>Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems. </li><li>Work related to maintaining the 5S program and Kanban system. </li><li>Pull material from inventory if needed. </li><li>Assemble the final drive package per drawings and instructions (gearbox/swing- base/coupling/motor/accessories). </li><li>Utilize vibration equipment to obtain appropriate data. </li><li>Proficiency in using alignment equipment. </li><li>Plumb lube systems, modify piping, bend piping, calculate angles, and attach system fittings per the drawings. </li><li>Work very closely with production, engineering, and service on all events, effectively communicating with these departments and developing solutions as problems arise. </li><li>Be able to effectively communicate to production planning, engineering and all other production groups </li><li>Test units and assemble drive packages for IGU's, the IGU Assembler will be expected to build smaller standard gearboxes as needed. </li><li>Move IGU's and components safely throughout the shop using provided equipment and cranes. </li><li>Be an active participant in the company's suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost savings programs. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <p>High School Diploma Required, Graduate in mechanical trade preferred.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Experience building case size 8+ gearboxes and building on the manipulator is preferred.</p> <p>Skills and Key Attributes:</p> <p>Customer focused, detail oriented, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills. The ability read prints and analyze situations identifying how best to proceed.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Ability to lift up 50lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 10-12 hours per day.</p>
