<p>Environmental Services Internship Opportunity</p> <p>Location: Ford Ohio Assembly Plant - Avon Lake, Ohio</p> <p>Duration: May 2025 - August 2025</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and environmentally conscious college student to join our team as a Total Waste Management Intern at the Ford Ohio Assembly Plant. This internship provides hands-on experience in sustainability practices and waste reduction strategies within a dynamic manufacturing environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Support on-site total waste management and recycling initiatives. </li><li>Assist in rolling out line-side recycling containers and visual aids using the previous intern's project as a template. </li><li>Investigate and propose new waste-saving initiatives, including: </li><li>Improving cardboard segregation and baling. </li><li>Expanding our composting initiative throughout the plant. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing environmental improvement projects. </li></ul> <p>Requirements and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional email etiquette. </li><li>Currently enrolled in a college or university program. </li><li>Interest or academic focus in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field preferred. </li><li>Self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>This is a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world environmental improvements in a high-impact setting.
