<p>ETC in Middleton is looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team in the Metal Shop on 2nd shift!</p> <p>Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of CNC and manual machine tools, the ability to set up mill and lathe jobs and have great communication skills.</p> <p>We offer a clean, climate controlled facility and a convenient 4 x 10 schedule (Mon-Thurs 3pm - 1am)</p> <p>Please contact Tracy Haggerty at tracy.haggerty@etcconnect.com with questions.</p> <p>Representative Responsibilities:</p> <p>Manufactures parts to the standards and specifications</p> <p>Creates machined parts from existing programs and fixtures.</p> <p>Sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate tools, mechanisms, and machines.</p> <p>Solves problems relative to materials, tools, work-holding arrangements, machine settings, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production process, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics</p> <p>Consults with engineer and other personnel regarding product information</p> <p>Evaluates and recommends changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production</p> <p>Ensures work orders are completed</p> <p>Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled</p> <p>Completes paperwork correctly, labels parts per work order and forwards the products to the next station</p> <p>Maintains continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs for the next shift</p> <p>Ensures products quality meets standards by frequently checking work</p> <p>Builds parts to quality standards within specified tolerance as reflected on print</p> <p>Follows ISO procedures</p> <p>Uses appropriate documentation, e.g. ECRs, and NCMRs, to identify and communicate issues</p> <p>Completes machine maintenance in a timely manner</p> <p>Reports all identified problems to the manager</p> <p>Maintains tools regularly and informs manager of tooling needs</p> <p>Adheres to safety standards at all times</p> <p>Ensures that safe methods and practices are used</p> <p>Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines</p> <p>Wears personal protective equipment when required</p> <p>Identifies and reports safety issues to management</p> <p>Learns new tasks and procedures as needed</p> <p>Listens to, understands and follow instructions while learning new assignments</p> <p>Recognizes unusual circumstances and asks intelligent questions when necessary</p> <p>Maintains a clean and organized work environment</p> <p>Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept, and tools are returned to designated area</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> <p>Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience</p> <p>1 year diploma in Machine Tooling preferred</p> <p>3-5 years of experience at setting up and operating CNC machine tools</p> <p>Ability to edit G-Code programs for CNC lathe and mill machinery</p> <p>Experience with a variety of CNC and manual machine tools and control types. (Specifically, HAAS lathe and mill with Haas and Fanuc Controls)</p> <p>Ability to set-up mill and lathe jobs, without assistance, quickly and accurately</p> <p>Experience developing production set-ups and tooling for machined components.</p> <p>Good math skills (algebra, trigonometry, geometry)</p> <p>Excellent problem solving skill and experience for all aspects of machining processes</p> <p>Advanced inspection abilities including with a large variety of measuring tools.</p> <p>Excellent communications skills</p> <p>Able to read blueprints</p> <p>Able to work independently and as part of a team</p> <p>Able to lift up to 50 pounds</p> <p>Able to stand for long periods of time</p> <p>Mechanical aptitude</p>
