<p>Job Title PED 189 Swimming Assistant- Spring 2025 Department Physical Education Job Description/Duties</p> <p>Assist the instructor as needed during swim instruction and drills by providing feedback to PED 189 students, also providing stroke correction and supplementary instruction.</p> <p>Demonstrate skills and provide teaching episodes for aquatic skills under the direction and supervision of the instructor.</p> <p>Provide one of three one-hour supplemental sessions during regularly scheduled open swim hours to assist PED 189 students in their aquatic skills development and to aid the students in preparing for the 300-yard swim exit competency.</p> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <p>There are two sections:</p> <p>PED 189-602: 9:10 to 10:00 am on Mondays and Wednesdays</p> <p>PED 189-601: 10:20 am-11:10 am on Mondays and Wednesdays</p> <p>Approximately 3-8 hours a week</p> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Park Center</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>It is important that this person have a swimming background, has a water safety instructor certificate or lifeguard training.
