This event will be held at U.S. Boiler Company: 2920 Old Tree Drive Lancaster Pa 17603</p> <p>U.S. Boiler Company is looking for an Electro-Mechanic!</p> <p>At U.S. Boiler Company, we are proud to offer residential and commercial heating products that have been designed, engineered, and manufactured domestically. Headquartered in Lancaster, PA, our facilities employ nearly 300 people from our community. Every product that leaves our factory has been designed, engineered, and produced for exclusive use in North America. U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Under limited supervision, installs, maintains, and adjusts all equipment in good repair. Leads in planning major work projects. Specifies material as required to complete assigned work. Instructs and trains other maintenance personnel. Assists in safety efforts and planning of CI and safety related projects.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to possess, troubleshoot, repair, or maintain the following:</p> <ul> <li>Installs, designs modifications to, and repairs electrical equipment such as PLC controlled equipment, CNC controlled equipment, Relay controlled equipment, transformers, switches, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, conduit systems or other electrical equipment. Works from blueprints and wiring diagrams to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical equipment. Requires the use of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing equipment. Selects proper materials for job and orders items if not in stock. </li><li>Installs, designs modifications to, and repairs mechanical equipment such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and compressed air systems. Troubleshoots equipment to diagnose the problem; dismantling the equipment completely or in part and performing the necessary repairs that involve the use of hand tools in replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock or ordering the proper items from the supplier. Reassembles equipment, making proper adjustment to insure proper operation of the equipment. </li><li>Reads blueprints of machinery and equipment to determine location of machinery parts, their orientation and proper adjustment. Must be capable of producing parts from blueprints. </li><li>Keeps buildings and structures in repair. </li><li>Makes repair parts as needed using machine tools such as: lathes, milling machines, and drill presses. Uses micrometers and other standard measuring instruments to work to specified tolerances to assure proper fit and operation of the repair part. </li><li>Installs machinery and equipment including rigging, moving, placement, and leveling of equipment prior to its hookup for operation. </li><li>Builds jigs and fixtures as required. </li><li>Installs and repairs piping systems such as water, steam, and compressed air. Uses plumbers' tools and equipment to perform required work. </li></ul> <p>The essential duties and responsibilities written above are not all-inclusive but are illustrative of the duties and responsibilities involving the required minimum skills and aptitude.</p> <p>Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A passing score on aptitude test is required.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); four (4) years or more of formal trades training (i.e., welding, machining, HVAC, electrical, etc.); or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>Computer Skills Basic knowledge; ability to operate controls panel and keyboard</p> <p>Certificates, Licenses Registrations Forklift license, Aerial Lift Certification, Valid PA Driver's License</p> <p>Other Skills and Abilities Complicated Blueprint or Drawing reading; use and understanding of measuring devices; use of precision measuring instruments.</p> <p>Safety Requirements Protective Footwear Ansi Z41 Class 75, hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, neoprene/insulated gloves for filling LP cylinders and cloth or leather work gloves. Crane training is required.</p> <p>Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
