<p>A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst (UKGPro preferred) to be based in Princeton, NJ. This position is HYBRID (3 days a week onsite). The contract's duration is 6 months with possible extension. *W2 and local only.</p> <p>MUST HAVE:</p> <ul> <li>Large company payroll experience </li><li>Large Payroll software experience (Ultipro/UKG, ADP, etc - not looking for quickbooks) </li><li>Self Starter </li><li>Analytical thinker </li><li>Strong overall payroll knowledge (gross to net, taxation) </li><li>Excel skills (ie vlookups, sumif, pivot tables, etc.) </li><li>W-2 preparation / validation </li><li>Multi-state/local tax jurisdiction experience </li><li>General ledger background </li></ul> <p>SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>3+ years payroll experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred</p> <p>UKG/Ultipro experience is a plus but not required</p> <p>Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws</p> <p>Communicate clearly and effectively</p> <p>Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel</p> <p>Strong analytical skills</p> <p>Ability to solution issues as they arise</p> <p>Detail orientated, organized and focused on accuracy and meeting deadlines</p> <p>Must be a team player to blend individual tasks / processes to achieve group objectives</p> <p>Experience with multi-state and Canadian payroll compliance is a plus</p> <p>Experience with state and local tax registration and reconciliation is a plus.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Develop full understanding of the inputs and outputs of payroll cycles, as well as post payroll activities</p> <p>Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, analyzing and entering data utilizing the UKGPro payroll system in accordance with policy and procedures</p> <p>Wage Verifications</p> <p>Reporting and remittance of payroll deductions</p> <p>Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and have knowledge of what data and calculations are required in assigned areas</p> <p>Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information</p> <p>Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of information</p> <p>Collaborate with payroll colleagues as well as other business areas, including Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, Finance and Technology.</p> <p>Year End W-2 processing</p> <p>Balance sheet account reconciliation support</p> <p>Provide analysis and reporting as required and assigned by management</p> <p>Provide customer service by responding to employee questions and requests. Monitor the Payroll Inquiries mailbox (external queries) and Sofi (ServiceNow) queue (internal requests)</p> <p>#LI-NK1</p>
