Teacher of Mathematics Standard Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required</p> <p>Dual certification, including Computer Science Standard Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility, preferred, not required</p> <p>District Job Description</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate New Jersey Instructional Certificate</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal/Director</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li>Techniques of Education </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will employ appropriate instructional and evaluative techniques and make use of instructional materials in the classroom.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Subject Competency/Professional Growth </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will take advantage of opportunities to enhance his/her professional knowledge and instructional qualifications in the subject or teaching areas for which he/she is responsible.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Planning and Preparation </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will be responsible for the appropriate planning and preparation for teaching his/her classes.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Classroom Control </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will establish procedures of control and conflict resolution to allow a maximum of teaching and a minimum of disciplinary action with due consideration given to the composition of a class.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Teacher-Pupil Relationship </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will develop a climate that enhances the respect of teacher-student relationship as well as respect among student peers.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Classroom Management </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will have the responsibility for compiling reports, maintaining records and the physical environment of the classroom.</p> <ol start="7"> <li>Contribution to Total School Effort </li></ol> <p>The Teacher has the responsibility to cooperate with the administration and associates in school activities that enhance the operation of the school district.</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Curriculum Development </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will take an active part in continuing curriculum evaluation and revision.</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Safety Program </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will implement the district's safety program to provide a safe environment in the operation of vocational education.</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Performs Other Duties </li></ol> <p>The Teacher will assume responsibility of other professional duties as assigned by the administration within the scope of terms of employment and certification.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Ten month position in accordance with MCVEA contract.</p> <p>EVALUATION:</p> <p>Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of certificated staff.</p>
