If you have experience in Office Management, Scheduling, Administration then this job could be for you!</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <ul> <li>Job Title:?Unit Secretary </li><li>Company:?IU Health </li><li>Department: Adult Obstetrics?Labor and Delivery </li><li>Location:?Riley Children's Hospital </li><li>Schedule:?Part-Time, Night Shift - 2 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00pm - 7:30am (Every 3rd Friday and Saturday night) </li></ul> <p>This is a unique opportunity that will have a direct impact on our organization's success and supports our vision of making Indiana one of the nation's healthiest states. We hope this inspires you to apply and begin living our IU Health Values - Purpose, Excellence, Compassion and Team - every day.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure accurate and complete information is received from patient to facilitate coordination and communication between physician, unit staff, and ancillary departments. </li><li>Schedule daily tests and procedures, maintain comprehensive up-to-date record of all patient tests and procedures, and sign patients in and out of unit. </li><li>Provide receptionist functions for the unit and alert unit management to issues or needs within the unit regarding policies, procedures, or practices. </li><li>Perform all clerical duties associated with supporting the Pediatric Critical Care Unit. </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma/GED required.</p> <ul> <li>Completion of Medical Assistant, Medical Secretary classes, or equivalent experience preferred. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred. </li><li>1-3 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred. </li><li>Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred. </li><li>Must be able to complete required (if applicable) training program. </li><li>Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). </li></ul>
