<p>Position: Elementary School Psychologist</p> <p>Position Type: Full-time</p> <p>Department: Special Education</p> <p>Location: District</p> <p>Reports to: Building Principal/Director of Student Services</p> <p>Affiliation: WEA Unit A</p> <p>Salary range: As Determined by Unit A contract</p> <p>General Description:</p> <p>Watertown Public Schools seeks a skilled school psychologist with a growth mindset to join our team of educators at Watertown Public Schools.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide ongoing consultation to teachers staff, and parents regarding teaching students with diverse learning needs </li><li>Provide counseling services to students to address issues that are interfering with learning, i.e. individual, groups </li><li>Conduct psychological evaluations and write thorough evaluation reports including educationally relevant findings and recommendations </li><li>Conduct screenings as requested through Student Intervention Team (SIT) processes and IEP and 504 Team processes </li><li>Crisis intervention </li><li>Participate as needed in SIT, IEP, and 504 Teams </li><li>Author relevant sections of IEPs and 504 plans </li><li>Write quarterly progress reports </li><li>Documentation of services provided </li><li>Provide trainings for teachers, staff, and parents regarding the role of a school psychologist in an educational setting </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree required </li><li>Current Massachusetts DESE licensure as a school psychologist </li><li>Flexibility with respect to caseloads, age groups, and scheduling </li><li>Experience as a school psychologist in a public school setting </li><li>Experience assessing preschool and elementary children </li><li>Experience with the following instruments. Required skill in administering the WPPSI, WISC V (IPAD format), WIAT 3, DAS, VMI, BRIEF 2, BASC 3, Vineland.
