<p>This role is for Students in their Senior Year of a Radiology Tech Program</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Perform a variety of clerical and non-trauma imaging tasks to assist in the Imaging department.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Entry level patient care, Customer Service </li></ul> <p>License/Registration/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>BLS Certification </li><li>SCRQSA -Limited </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <p>Preferred Education</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Preferred License/Registration/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Core Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Able to Lift, push, pull and move adult patients with and without assistance </li><li>Provide patient and technologist assistance under duress of smells, blood and body fluids </li><li>Perform a variety of patient-oriented tasks to assist in the imaging department </li><li>Assist in transport of patients to and from the imaging department </li><li>Assist with clerical duties in the imaging department to include answering the phone, patient pre/post phone calls, obtaining CD's for medical records and/or patients, coordination of imaging procedures with other departments, requesting medical records from other institutions, etc. </li><li>Positively responds and implements change when needed and has good decision-making skills. </li><li>Assists technologists with quality control and maintenance of all equipment in the area </li><li>Properly utilize accessory equipment such as patient moving devices, stretchers, warmers, scanners, printers, and PACS workstations </li><li>Assist technologist with preparation of patients for procedures </li><li>Assist patients in/out and on/off the imaging equipment using correct moving devices and equipment </li><li>Report changes in patient condition to medical staff. </li><li>Performs all tasks listed under the limited General SCRQSA Certification </li><li>Follows, maintains and helps implement hospital and departmental policies and procedures </li><li>Consistently communicates with patients, guests, staff and physicians in a positive manner </li><li>Knowledgeable of compliance and regulatory requirements and adheres to Federal, State, accrediting bodies, and standard practice of care for patients, staff, guests and facilities </li><li>Adheres to departmental procedures and protocols </li><li>Rotating schedules for after hours and holidays when applicable </li><li>Assist with correct charging of procedures and supplies daily </li><li>Helps to maintain departmental inventory of supplies </li><li>Helps to maintain departmental cleanliness </li><li>Works as a team member with peers and other departments. Responds calmly and efficiently to situations. </li><li>Regularly attend departmental meeting, in-services and actively participate in continuing education activities </li><li>Other duties as requested by supervisor or manager or charge personnel </li><li>May be assigned to cover additional shifts as required to meet departmental needs </li></ul>
