<p>About the role</p> <p>Appfire is looking for a Tax Transfer Pricing Manager who will lead the transfer pricing compliance and operations function with the goal of operating like a best-in-class large-scale public company. We are looking for someone who operates with analytical rigor, a mindset dedicated to growth and continuous improvement, and as a thought partner to other peers across the organization in all departments. This is an opportunity to be a part of a small, high-velocity team working on global tax initiatives with frequent interaction with the senior management of a high-growth technology unicorn.</p> <p>This is a new role that will report to the Global Tax Director. You can choose to work remotely from anywhere within the US.</p> <p>Your everyday tasks will include:</p> <ul> <li>Manage global transfer pricing compliance and documentation, including coordinating with outside providers to ensure timely submission of all global reports. </li><li>Prepare analyses and financial models to evaluate and support intercompany transactions. </li><li>Prepare and review technical memoranda in support of transfer pricing planning initiatives. </li><li>Assist with international tax compliance, including Forms 5471, planning and other projects as needed. </li><li>Assist with acquisition structuring and diligence. </li><li>Provide support to international subsidiaries in the preparation and review of income tax filings and statutory financial statements. </li><li>Continuously improve the transfer pricing function that earns the broad trust of internal stakeholders and provides outstanding execution. </li><li>Automate processes through the use of established systems adopted by departments globally to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of transfer pricing calculations. </li><li>Partner with R&D, S&M, and Finance to continuously refine reporting, forecasting, and provide feedback on our growth strategy based on transfer pricing reporting requirements and implications as we grow and scale. </li><li>Assist the Global Tax Director in advising the Finance team and executive leadership on the operational and financial impact of various transfer pricing decisions. </li></ul> <p>Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:</p> <ul> <li>6+ years of increasing responsibility and leadership, with related SaaS/Software/Tech transfer pricing experience. </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of US and International transfer pricing laws and regulations. </li><li>Experience in transfer pricing issues faced by multinational technology companies such as acquisitions, IP integration, and cost sharing. </li><li>CPA, JD, or MS are highly preferred. </li><li>Must be a hands-on, roll-up your sleeves type that enjoys a fast-paced environment. </li><li>NetSuite experience a strong plus. </li><li>Public accounting experience, preferably Big 4 or large National firm. </li><li>Make It, Make it Matter.
