Adjunct faculty can teach up to 2 courses per</p> <p>term, not to exceed 10 courses per year. This role participates in continuing professional</p> <p>development and may also engage in faculty governance and curriculum work as needed.</p> <p>Additional service activities may be assigned to Adjunct faculty. Scholarship is not required.</p> <p>Teaching assignments for Adjunct faculty may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule</p> <p>of courses. Adjunct faculty deliver high-quality instruction and foster an inclusive and supportive</p> <p>learning environment conducive to student success.</p> <p>The mission of the on ground, part-time adjunct Nursing Instructor, regardless of the curriculum,</p> <p>is to provide the student(s), our customer(s), with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain</p> <p>entry-level employment in the field of their chosen program of study. To accomplish this</p> <p>mission, all instructors will utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent</p> <p>team effort under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Education/ Dean/ Program</p> <p>Head, or his or her designee.</p> <p>Successful candidates in this role will reside in the Waterville, ME area or within a commutable</p> <p>distance.</p> <p>What to expect in this role:</p> <p>? Provide an engaging learning environment by hands-on activities and with open and timely communication</p> <p>? Provide students with appropriate guidance regarding academic excellence</p> <p>? Partner with advisors and leadership on student concerns, resolution, retention, and outcomes.</p> <p>? Remain current with trends, techniques, and technology.</p> <p>? Maintenance of a professional development plan.</p> <p>? Additional duties as may be assigned by the School.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>BSN required; MSN preferred</p> <p>Active, unencumbered state RN licensure with 2 years of experience</p> <p>Mental Health experience required</p> <p>Higher education teaching experience is preferred.</p> <p>What we're looking for:</p> <p>?
