<p>Summary:</p> <p>Responsible to direct, plan, and coordinate scheduling of Production Operator assignments, as well as training of operators and floor personnel to ensure the shift is operating efficiently with minimal scrap. Schedules all mold set activities and Production Operator assignments based on the master schedule. Enforce company policies and documented procedures, and has the authority to enforce disciplinary action if required. Support the ISO9001 Business Management System (BMS). In the event of defective equipment or safety violation, this title has the authority to stop production.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Understand Midgard's Quality Policy as it relates to your job. </li><li>Use the master production schedule and shift log to coordinate operator assignments. </li><li>Coordinate all mold changes with the mold setters and materials with the appropriate personnel. </li><li>Ensure the press cycle sheets on the work order are maintained and initialed. </li><li>Monitor and document all tooling and maintenance needs according to established procedures. </li><li>Utilize ERP Software System to monitor the efficiencies of all operators on the production floor and correct inefficiencies when found. </li><li>Evaluate and optimize the production processes for quality and rate improvements. </li><li>Ensure operators have received all necessary training to perform the job properly, and update training files accordingly. </li><li>Enforce all safety rules, report any unsafe conditions, and give disciplinary action as required per established procedures. </li><li>Monitor all processing changes and record as necessary. </li><li>Ensure target cycles are achieved. </li><li>Enforce basic housekeeping. </li><li>Perform shift changeover walk-thru's. </li><li>Participate in company sponsored training, continuous improvement and team activities. </li><li>Understand Midgard's Business Management System procedures as they apply to production. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High school diploma or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a basic understanding in the use of mechanic tools and experience in the operation of hand lift and forklift trucks.</p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings, work orders and procedures. Must know how to read and write English, all paperwork requirements must be in English.</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY:</p> <p>Ability to define problems, set priorities and react to multi task situations in an efficient manner.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand and reach with hands and arms. This job also requires lifting of 30 lbs.
