<p>The Application Engineer - Large Industrial Drives will assist with the development of our business in the Large Industrial Drives product market. They will provide application and technical product support, to advise customers on the proper selection, application, maintenance and trouble-shooting of NORD Large Industrial products. After a selection is made the application engineer will produce a quotation for the customer. Some travel to job sites may be required for larger projects, or customer meetings.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Selection/Pricing/Quoting/Proposals for customers </li><li>Assist customers with product drawings </li><li>Specification review </li><li>Support sales and marketing strategy </li><li>Assist with marketing material </li><li>Support Sales as a Technical expert </li><li>Technical support to the factory, sales team, and customers </li><li>Assist with problem investigation on site </li><li>Process orders in SAP </li><li>Education: 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering required from an accredited university. </li><li>Experience: 3-5 years Mechanical Engineering experience in related field required; 1+ years in large industrial gear market beneficial. </li><li>Skills and Key Attributes: Flexible to changing requirements and able to technically adapt, Able to multi-task, Good communicator, professional and positive, Team player, Good problem-solving skills, Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, Creative, Adaptable and Assertive, Knowledge on large industrial gear drive applications and competitors, High level of Organization, Project Management skills, Technical sales skills, Above Average Computer Skills, Ability/Desire to Learn Quickly. </li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to travel - around 5% </li></ul>
