Plus, you get to think about dogs all day!</p> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>We are looking for a motivated Forklift Associate to join our brand new state-of-the-art freeze drying facility in Allentown, PA! In this role you will be directly responsible for safe operation of a forklift to unload, ship, inventory, and warehouse materials and/or finish products. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for reporting and following up on any observation that may impact associate safety and/or product Quality and Food Safety </li><li>Perform inspections of forklifts and other lift equipment and report any deficiencies </li><li>Receive, pick, load, and correctly warehouse all inbound materials and outbound finished products </li><li>Perform and record all required quality checks in accordance with quality and food safety standards </li><li>Maintain required GMPs and sanitation levels </li><li>Perform accurate inventory transactions into warehousing systems and maintain FIFO principles for all materials and finished products </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Must Have</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Six months work experience in warehousing operation using forklifts </li><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively </li><li>Able to operate a computer or tablet and utilize the basic standard desktop systems </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience operating forklift or other powered industrial equipment </li><li>Experience using ERP/WMS tools (SAP, Oracle) </li><li>Experience in food manufacturing environment </li><li>Working knowledge of HACCP and GMPs </li><li>OSHA approved Forklift Certification </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Physical Demands: lifting and lowering up to 50 pounds, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, repetitive motions, working in high elevations (above 6 feet) </li><li>Ability to work with allergens and chemicals that might be present in food environment </li><li>Ability to work in hot (60? to 100?), cold (-20? to 60?), noisy, dusty, and wet environmental working conditions </li><li>Able to wear safety PPE (hard hat, body harness, face shield, steel-toed boots) </li><li>Able to adhere to GMP requirements (hair/beard nets, uniforms, hygiene) </li></ul>
