<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Specialist in Poison Information will be responsible for providing toxicological management information to healthcare providers and to the public over the telephone; following up information/support to potential symptomatic home cases, patients evaluated/treated or admitted to a healthcare facility; participating in research projects and professional educational programs to include: new employees, students, residents, hospital staff; other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse with a Bachelors degree in Nursing and a minimum of 1 year hospital-based Med/Surg, ICU or ED RN nursing experience OR Associates degree in Nursing and 3 years of hospital-based Med/Surg, ICU or ED RN nursing required. *Will also consider a NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Pharmacist, Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant OR a Medical degree (MD) or foreign equivalent with prior hospital based experience required.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Current experience as certified specialist in poison information</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Days, Evening, Night & Weekends</p> <p>Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Recruitment Office: Human Resources</p> <p>Executive Order:</p> <p>Pursuant to Executive Order 161, no State entity, as defined by the Executive Order, is permitted to ask, or mandate, in any form, that an applicant for employment provide his or her current compensation, or any prior compensation history, until such time as the applicant is extended a conditional offer of employment with compensation.
