You'll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li>Develop hardware design concepts and architectures for electronic systems. </li><li>Work with all engineering disciplines in a team environment. </li><li>Support design reviews and creation of technical documentation. </li><li>Identify system risks and develop mitigation plans. </li><li>Quickly complete root cause analysis and implement corrective action to resolve design issues which may involve schematic changes, directing PCB layout changes, and/or component selection. </li><li>Implement and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and procedures. </li><li>Support external PCBA manufacturing contractors, internal production manufacturing, internal quality teams, and internal/external test teams with assembling, integration, and testing of the hardware components of our designs. </li></ul> <p>What You Need to Succeed:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge in low power embedded electronic analog and digital circuit design. </li><li>Possesses strong interpersonal skills, must be resourceful and flexible, and actively participate in decision making processes. </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills. </li><li>Proficiency with common laboratory equipment such as hand solder instruments, DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other equipment. </li><li>Proficiency in engineering computer tools used for schematic capture (Altium Designer is a plus), ECAD design, simulation, and design analysis. </li><li>Familiarity with PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly processes is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with RFID, Proximity, and Smart card technologies is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with Z-Wave, Bluetooth Low Energy, and/or Wi-Fi radio hardware is a plus. </li><li>Experience designing embedded systems for harsh environmental conditions is a plus. </li><li>BSEE or equivalent degree from an ABET accredited institution or higher. </li><li>1-4 years of experience. </li></ul> <p>Why Work for Us?</p> <p>Allegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:</p> <p>You're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.?
