Ensures all aspects of patient records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <p>a. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved school of Radiologic Technology, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.</p> <p>b. Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.</p> <p>Experience and Training Required:</p> <p>a. Two (2) years experience as a radiographer preferred.</p> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <p>a. Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians, and employees.</p> <p>b. Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients, and to apply and adjust restraining devices.</p> <p>c. Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (e.g. select C.T. procedures, etc.)</p> <p>d. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed by the practice or practices.</p> <p>e. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patient/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <p>f. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.</p> <p>g. Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.</p> <p>h. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, patient's families, sales representatives, and the general public.</p> <p>i. Ability to read and interpret medical documents, which are commonly found in a clinic or physician office environment. Ability to write basic reports and correspondence.</p> <p>j. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.</p> <p>k. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.</p> <p>l. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <p>Level of Physical Demands:</p> <p>a. Ability to lift and position patients.</p> <p>b. Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.</p> <p>c. Prolonged sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Some bending, stooping and stretching may be required.</p> <p>d. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.</p> <p>e. Working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.</p> <p>f. Exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.</p> <p>g. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
