<p>Salary range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00 per hour.</p> <p>Purpose/Function/Summary (training Needs)</p> <p>Assembles machines, equipment and their subassemblies following established processes and work instructions using hand tools and other precision tools.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assembles machines, equipment and subassemblies such as punch presses, bending brakes, shears, notchers, kick presses, and roll formers, following specifications and rising knowledge gained by experience. </li><li>Removes small quantities of metal, using hand files, or portable grinders to clean parts or to produce close fit between the parts. </li><li>Aligns components and bolts or can rivet them together, using hand tools, or portable powered tools. </li><li>Wires machines in accordance with wiring schematics. </li><li>Test electrical circuits to ensure proper operation. </li><li>May install moving parts, such as shafts, levers or bearings and manually works them to test for free movement of the parts. </li><li>Occasionally repair or rebuild machines. </li><li>Prepares picks. </li><li>Trouble shoots problems from customers. </li><li>May assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearbox. </li><li>May also test or assist in testing operation of the completed product. </li><li>Provides assistance to co-workers as needed, in the spirit of teamwork, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer requirements. </li><li>Supports and promotes a team environment. </li><li>Meets or exceeds all production and quality standards. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MACHINE, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS USED</p> <p>Basic Shop Tools, Special fixturing, Precision Calibration Equipment, Air Tools, Dynafile, Vices, Shears, Hand Presses and electric meter. Employee may be required to purchase personal tools and measuring equipment required to perform job.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required</p> <ul> <li>Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>Equivalent to 1 - 3 years practical trades training. </li><li>Experience/Skills: Requires the use of shop mathematics together with the use of drawings or blueprints, specifications, charts, tables, the use of precision measuring instruments and/or the use of some training generally applicable in a particular or specialized field. </li><li>Basic knowledge of wiring. </li></ul>
