<p>Davis & Floyd is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Inspector to join our team. In this role, the ideal candidate will work collaboratively with skilled professionals on SCDOT roadway projects as well as a variety of projects, including drainage, utility, and civil site development.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for necessary inspection services for earthwork and base, asphalt, concrete, , , and other construction related items </li><li>Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives </li><li>Ensure that all new construction is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, special provisions, standard drawings, and approved materials lists </li><li>Ensure that all construction projects are properly inspected </li><li>Prepare daily inspection and contractor performance reports </li><li>Perform field checks on all preliminary plans to assure completeness </li><li>Ensure that design and construction is in accordance with the client's concerns and permit requirements </li><li>Monitor contractor's schedule </li><li>Record as-built revisions and review with contractor </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>SCDOT project experience preferred </li><li>Valid driver's license required </li><li>Certifications required: </li><li>SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician (ART) </li><li>SCDOT Earthwork, Drainage & Base Inspector </li><li>American Concrete Institute Field Technician - Grade 1 (ACI) (Preferred) </li></ul>
