We build solid relationships with our researchers to ensure we offer a personalized and exceptional publishing service.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>You will be a Senior Editor with The Lancet family of journals in North America. Working closely with the North American Executive Editor. The Senior Editor role is a hybrid based out of the New York office.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Liaising with the Lancet specialty journals to help communicate content and promoting special projects in the US. </li><li>Conducting peer reviews, clinical trials and acquisitions, negotiate revisions. </li><li>Evaluating papers, team presentations, peer reviews for those with the highest potential clinical impact and participate in team decision making. </li><li>Promoting special projects (e.g., Series, Commissions, etc.) in the US. In addition, to managing the Preprints with The Lancet in partnership with the SSRN team. </li><li>Contributing to the commissioning of Comments, Perspectives, Seminars, Reviews, and Clinical, Global Health, and other Series and Commissions. </li><li>Reviewing editorial writing and outreach and working with other Lancet branded programs. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Have a PH.D in an area relevant to health or an M.D. </li><li>Able to think critically about a wide range of scientific and health-related issues. </li><li>Display exceptional oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Have interest in engaging with the scientific, clinical health and public health communities. </li><li>Have talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them. </li><li>Able to work well in diverse team settings. </li><li>Have excellent time management and organizational skills. </li><li>Able to work in office 1-2 times per month. </li></ul> <p>Work in a way that works for you</p> <p>We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
