Office location for this position is in North Wales, PA. In this role, you'll champion a sustainable EHS culture ensuring employee Safety & Health, Environmental protection, and enabling compliant operations and business effectiveness.</p> <p>How you'll spend your day</p> <p>How you'll spend your day</p> <p>All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance to site managers and employees, conduct internal, and support external, audits to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS requirements and design/recommend corrective and preventative action plans </li><li>Develop and conduct EHS awareness and safety programs for the sites </li><li>Identify EHS risks and define/recommend proactive mitigations </li><li>Ensure that site investment and changes in processes, equipment and systems are carried out in accordance with all relevant EHS and GMP requirements </li><li>Create, implement, monitor and update the site EHS plan in collaboration with the site leadership team </li><li>Provide necessary information and data to site managers and supervisors, Global EHS and other internal and external stakeholders, to support the achievement of EHS objectives and enhance company's reputation </li><li>Provide site leadership with analyses of incidents and investigation reports to identify significant or notable trends and opportunities for improvement </li><li>Support site leadership to create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the sites that inspires a proactive attitude towards employee safety </li><li>Help site leadership create an environment where people can speak openly and are encouraged to present new ideas about EHS stewardship </li><li>Develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to managers and employees at the sites </li><li>Lead continuous improvement in EHS using Operational Excellence (OPEX) principles and visible leadership to achieve goals and to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness </li><li>Support the site leadership team, impacting decision making and taking an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, teamwork and collaboration across site functions </li><li>Bring global best practices into the site and actively share site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in class professional level of EHS globally </li><li>Develop trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies, local community and external suppliers to promote compliance and social responsibility, in company's business interest </li></ul> <p>Your experience and qualifications</p> <p>Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline required </li><li>Professional certifications such as: CSP, CIH preferred </li><li>5+ years of EHS experience including management and technical knowledge (such as: waste, water, air emissions, audit and inspection, industrial hygiene, hazard communication, ergonomics, and EHS management systems) </li><li>Basic knowledge of local current and upcoming legislation and current best EHS practices </li><li>Experience in a distribution environment a plus </li><li>Project management knowledge and experience working within matrixed environments and knowledge of OPEX principles and tools </li></ul> <p>Enjoy a more rewarding choice</p> <p>We offer a competitive benefits package, including:</p> <p>Comprehensive Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage starting on the first day of employment, providing the employee enrolls.</p> <p>Retirement Savings: 401(k) with employer match, up to 6% and an annual 3.75% Defined Contribution to the 401k plan.</p> <p>Time Off: Paid Time Off including vacation, sick/safe time, caretaker time and holidays.</p> <p>Life and Disability Protection: Company paid Life and Disability insurance.</p> <p>Additional benefits include, but are not limited to, Employee Assistance Program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Tuition Assistance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Account, Life Style Spending Account, Volunteer Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, if eligible , Family Building Benefits, Virtual Physical Therapy, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity Insurances, Identity Theft Protection, Legal Plan, Voluntary Life Insurance and Long Term Disability and more.</p> <p>The total compensation may also include restricted stock units and discretionary awards, depending on the position offered.
