Come join the rapidly expanding Gene Editing team at Eli Lilly! We are responsible for inventing, characterizing, and advancing novel genome therapy reagents for a myriad of clinical applications. Our team works cross-functionally within our organization across multiple disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene editing to patients around the world.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a key thought leader and collaborate with teams to deliver data-driven capabilities within Benchling and cloud-based platforms. </li><li>Manage Benchling projects from design to rollout. </li><li>Design data transformations and pipelines, prioritizing data integrity and privacy. </li><li>Define Service Level Objectives for batch and streaming pipelines and optimize performance. </li><li>Create CI/CD pipelines for platform provisioning and lifecycle management. </li><li>Collaborate with Application and Platform teams to establish data platform best practices. </li><li>Engage comfortably with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, to ensure transparency, effective change management, and collaboration. </li><li>Possess expertise in relevant data visualization, data ETL, databases, engineering tools, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, JIRA, and Confluence. </li><li>Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills; capable of handling competing demands and working within a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, bioinformatics, or related scientific field. </li><li>2+ years of work experience with software development. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills/Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills. </li><li>Proficiency in SQL and data modeling. </li><li>Knowledge of containers (e.g., Docker) and workflow management software. </li><li>Expertise in Python or R </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>This role may require up to 10-15% travel for conferences or training. </li></ul> <p>Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is</p> <p>$70,500 - $200,200</p> <p>Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
