<p>The Opportunity…</p> <p>DYS is seeking a licensed Psychologist to oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.</p> <p>Specifically, the Psychologist will:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and perform psychological assessments and evaluations </li><li>Interview, administer tests, score and interpret tests </li><li>Prepare reports based on findings </li><li>Formulate treatment plans based on findings and develop and/or modify treatment as needed </li><li>Attend unit treatment team meetings representing the psychological component </li><li>Submit psychological impressions to team </li><li>Confer with institution professionals (e.g., psychiatrist, nurse, social worker, activities therapist, recreation supervisor, chaplain, superintendent, operations administrator) regarding program </li><li>Assure compliance with certifying/accrediting//professional agencies (e.g., American Correctional Association, Department of Mental Health, American Psychological Association) requirements </li><li>Provide lead work/clinical supervision to student interns </li><li>Provide and/or participate in individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy rehabilitation sessions </li><li>Assure documentation of activities </li><li>Prepare reports as directed and/or required. Respond to emergency situations as needed.
