We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Senior GIS Professional 1 to join our Data Management & Visualization practice. We collaborate closely with our colleagues and clients on challenging projects in the fields of environmental geology, geotechnical engineering, risk assessment, natural resource management, permitting, and sustainability. This is a full-time position in Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC office, and candidates will be expected to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.</p> <p>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The successful candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Work with project teams to determine the optimal approach for using geospatial technologies to meet project needs, accurately estimate the corresponding level of effort, and then see implementation through to completion. </li><li>Approach each task, regardless of size and scope, as an opportunity to rethink the conventional ways data is collected, managed, visualized, and delivered. </li><li>Produce concise, clear, and compelling cartographic output with a keen eye for aesthetics. </li><li>Balance a high level of creativity with adherence to established company GIS standards and best practices. </li><li>Always be persistent and diligent about quality, both in one's own work and the work of others. </li><li>Actively engage in the greater GIS community, both locally and beyond, staying aware of the state of practice, new tools and technology, and opportunities for growth. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>BS/BA degree </li><li>Five to ten years' experience as a GIS professional, preferably in an engineering consulting or environmental consulting environment. </li><li>Experience in building and using a GIS to solve problems, present results, and graphically report analytical data. </li><li>Advanced skills using Esri ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS Pro. </li><li>Experience developing web GIS using ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, ArcGIS Online, and/or Geocortex. </li><li>GIS-CAD data interoperability and integration skills. </li><li>Ability to manage time to work efficiently and effectively, while balancing multiple projects. </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills for all levels of technical understanding. </li><li>Enthusiasm, dedication, and self-discipline in order to work effectively in an exciting, diverse, and fast-paced environment. </li><li>Candidates will be required to provide a portfolio of their work. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>AutoCAD and/or Civil3D experience. </li><li>Mobile data collection, processing, and integration (Field Maps, Survey123). </li><li>Experience using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) in applications related to GIS, spatial analysis, or environmental data analysis. </li><li>Database management and analytics (Power BI, EQuIS, OpenGround, SQL Server). </li><li>Automation and ETL (FME, Python, Model Builder). </li><li>UAS data acquisition and processing (Pix4Dmapper, Agisoft Metashape, GlobalMapper). </li><li>GISP certification. </li></ul> <p>About Haley & Aldrich</p> <p>Haley & Aldrich is committed to solving our clients' most meaningful challenges in the built and natural environments.
