<p>Position Overview: A float or substitute staff is responsible for filling in for staff in any of our classrooms. This could be for a lunch break, or staff absence. During those times the float staff would assist overseeing and managing a classroom of young children of varying ages with the lead teacher (unless absent). This role involves being engaged in an age-appropriate curriculum, preparing learning materials as needed, and supporting children's developmental progress in alignment with early learning standards. Flexibility in desired classroom placement.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Classroom Management: Assisting the lead teaching in the daily operations of the classroom, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment. </li><li>Curriculum Implementation: Utilize age-appropriate curriculum provided by the program to foster children's cognitive, emotional, and social development </li><li>Childcare Duties: Manage diapering and restroom breaks for children as needed, ensuring a nurturing and hygienic environment. Assist with mealtimes, promoting good nutrition habits and social interaction. </li><li>Record Keeping and Communication: Track and document children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns in a designated database. Maintain professional and effective communication with other teachers and staff, parents, Director, and other administrative staff, keeping them informed of any concerns, needs, or general updates. </li><li>Training & Development: Participate in and complete all mandatory training sessions and professional development activities as required. </li><li>Other Duties: Perform other necessary duties that may arise within a childcare program. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a high school diploma or GED. </li><li>Strong professional communication and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to collaborate positively and effectively with staff and management. </li><li>Participation in ongoing professional development as required. </li><li>Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen. </li></ul>
